I have been watching the ever-rotating mammoth fractal murals across the city now for over a decade & they always thrill. Designed by elementary school-age children, fractals help them understand the "beauty of math & science." These fractals taught me that Fractals Are Everywhere, & if one looks for them, you will see them.
Below, from my backyard, is a Cobweb Hen & Chick succulent that is a fractal factory: it becomes a larger fractal as it grows & creates little succulent fractal babies along the way. The plant looks like it has a light covering of snow, but that's the cobweb part of this plant......
The Fractal Foundation is selling Fractal Masks. "Wearing fractals is FUN!!! And by purchasing fractal merchandise, you are supporting science, math and art education in New Mexico."
Children-designed Fractal Foundation murals can be found around the MetroABQ, like one Downtown on Silver Ave below, & another outside the Harwood Art Center in the Wells Park Neighborhood, also Downtown.
