Little Free Libraries Proliferate in The Nob Hill Neighborhoods
October 8, 2020
Little Free Libraries is an amazing concept: Allowing free, 24-hour access to a rotating collection of books is a community benefit beyond parallel. I see readers of all ages exchanging books at these side-street libraries.
We are fortunate that in the Nob Hill Neighborhoods: we have a few dozen little free libraries to choose from. And around & beyond Nob Hill, there are several hundred more. In Nob Hill we also have a newer concept: two separate Little Free Pantries, a recent one seen above at the John Gaw Meem-designed Sanctuary at the Immanuel Presbyterian Church, one of the anchors around the Nob Hill Business Center. Another library, along the busy-&-very interesting arterial of Monte Vista Blvd, sits just up the road from the Monte Vista Elementary School, seen directly below, in a section of wonderfully unique Monte Vista Triangle homes.
