On the northern edge of Monte Vista Elementary School is a long row of Desert Willows. Sometime after the New Year dozens of small paper origami cranes appeared on some of the larger trees. With different colored papers--some with designs, zigzags & stripes--each one-of-a-kind bird creation flapped in the wind for weeks. It was great to see.
What a great project: to learn how to create the small origami art piece, then let it go into the world, as part of a larger group project decorating the trees.
