Walking in each Nob Hill Neighborhood, you regularly pass by often colorfully-decorated Little Free Libraries. Sometimes created from spare parts at home, many are wonderfully creative. The "largest book-sharing movement," LittleFreeLibrary.org, provides tips on how to build your own front yard library.
Recently the City of Albuquerque announced that it is building 21 Little Free Libraries, to be delivered & installed in underserved communities around the city. Late last fall during the pandemic, the MetroABQ's Office of Civic Engagement contacted the Albuquerque Woodworkers Association (AWA), which offered their full support, securing funding for all materials, & rallied their members to build 21 Little Free Libraries.
Nob Hill, & the many neighborhoods surrounding, have dozens of Little Free Libraries to take from & to contribute to. When any of these new 21 LFL's from the City of Albuquerque comes available, I'll add them to the list...Meanwhile, below are images of few more new local little libraries. Immediately below is a quirky new library near Monte Vista Elementary School.
